RAWCON 2002 Proceedings

General

Each paper in the Proceedings of the RAWCON2002 Conference will be printed from a file uploaded by the author using the Submission Form found on the RAWCON website; pdf format is preferred. No additional content editing will be performed by the RAWCON editors. In addition, a new IEEE Copyright Form must be submitted, or the paper will not be accepted. Note that in addition to your signature, the following information must be supplied on the copyright form: 1. The complete title of the paper 2. The complete author list 3. The session number as given to you on your acceptance letter (format: d #.#).

The deadline for submission is 17 June 2002.

All Postscript or MS Word files will be converted to pdf format. Because of anomalies that sometimes occur when converting Postscript files or MS Word files to pdf (such as figures that change position on the page, etc.) it is strongly recommended that each author perform the conversion to pdf before submitting their manuscript. Authors should print the pdf file and proofread it carefully. The danger of submitting a Postscript or MS Word file is that any errors in the conversion to pdf might not be detected before the Proceedings are produced.

The total length of your paper may not exceed four pages. Longer papers will be excluded from the Proceedings unless special arrangements are made in advance with the Technical Program Chair.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts are to be black-and-white only
Use either A4 or U.S. Letter (8.5"x11") pages and stay within these margins

- for A4 paper: 2.5 cm (top), 2.5 cm (left), 4.2 cm (bottom), 2 cm (right)
- for U.S. Letter: 1" (top), 1" (left), 1" (bottom), 1" (right)

Use single space with standard fonts (e.g. Arial, Times New Roman) and font size of at least 10 point
Use two columns per page (with 0.25" gutter between columns)
Position all figures and captions within the text
Ensure legibility; simplify all figures and tables
Maintain uniformity of style throughout

Paper ID, Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s) and Abstract

Place Paper ID in boldface type (e.g. M1-1) in upper right hand corner of first page

Capitalize only initial letters in title and author information

Center title across the page in boldface type

Center author name(s) below title; skip one line between title and authors

Center affiliation name below each author(s) name

Include phone, fax, and email for the corresponding author

Skip one line before abstract (single column centered on page) in italics

Publication Release

Receipt of your manuscript by this Conference, together with the IEEE Copyright Form, constitutes release for open publication. No cancellation of such release is permissible. Do not send your manuscript if it is not fully cleared (see and check release statement on the Submission Form).

Registration and Attendance

Submission of your manuscript entails a commitment of the corresponding author to ensure that at least one author registers for the conference and presents the paper.

By the submission deadline of 17 June, 2002:

1. Prepare your pdf file as per above, and then upload by clicking here.

2. Submit page 1 of the completed and signed IEEE Copyright Form (see note above)(by mail or fax) to:
